Wit has been interested in computers and programming since primary school. He started his professional career in IT in 1993 before graduating with honors from Warsaw University in 1995 with a Masters degree in Computer Science. Since then, he has worked as a software developer (C, C++, C#, VB, Asp, .Net, MS SQL), independent IT consultant, software localisation and testing engineer, SEO specialist, software architect (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer), IT project manager and IT director.
He has a rich international experience, having worked in Poland, Germany, Ireland and the United Kingdom in companies like Quantum (software development), Kazar (international trade), Microsoft, Skyscanner (travel search website). He also runs his own consulting business. He co-created Skyscanner’s website, where he was a branch director from 2008 to 2011. In 2011 together with 4 other ex-Skyscanner employees he founded Order of Code, where he serves as CEO.
His technical expertise lies especially in software architecture and databases (incl. big data), with special attention to high efficiency, optimization and quality.
Apart from IT (big data, algorithms) he is interested in many things, including travel, chess, physics, science fiction literature and movies…
